Blessings my dear reader, I pray wherever you are, my words do you well.
I would like to begin with a question for you.
Do you know that you carry power and authority in you, and through that you have a purpose God our father has created you for?
I hope your answer is YES, although if it’s a no that’s perfectly okay because this Blog is just for you.
“The Beginning”
In the beginning when God created the heavens and earth, he created light and darkness.
He separated land and the waters, filled the seas with fish and other life.
The skies were filled with birds of every kind. God said, “Let the earth produce every sort of animal”.
He saw that all these things were good. Then God said, “Let us make human beings” in our image to be like us”.
To be exact in Genesis 1:26 when creating human beings God said, “They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.
“Dominion”
So, you see, in the beginning it so clearly describes the authority and dominion we carry on this earth.
God literally gave us authority over all the things he has created, and best of all he states he created us in his image to be like them (God the father, Jesus, Holy Spirit).
Now you may be wondering what all of this has to do with the title Spiritual warfare. It has everything to do with it.
My dearest reader, Spiritual warfare is directly an attack against all those things.
You see our father created us unique, special, and with unique gifts beyond many of our imaginations. In the bible it declares it continuously.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made, now understand the there is an enemy angry at the power and authority we carry, and he is on a mission to destroy us.
“The Enemy’s Mission”
As it states in John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
In just that one verse God reveals to us the exact assignment of the enemy because although the physical scenarios we experience may be different, his plan and his plot never change.
He will attack and he will do it as hard as he can with the intention of blinding you about who you really are, with the true end goal of taking everything from you.
However, in that same verse we see how our wonderful father then says, I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.
Therefore yes, the enemy will try to hurt us that is exactly what we are experiencing when in spiritual warfare.
Although it can be hard, keep close to our father because in turn we have a Father that doesn’t change and what God says is living and true.
“The Victory Is Ours”
Spiritual warfare can be an attack in an area where you may have an open door to insecurity, unforgiveness, pride. Things that we carry from past traumatic experiences.
Now the enemy may attack us with those things, mentally or even by using others to trigger those traumas.
Now you may have heard that our father is a God who turns the evil for the good in our life’s.
God will use these situations to teach us how to grow and handle situations, but most importantly to heal from the traumas we may have been carrying for far too long.
“My Raw and Honest Truth”
I’ll be very raw and honest with you, in the beginning when I experienced warfare, I had a hard time understanding and handling the meaning and purpose of warfare.
Through all the battles I have truly learned so many things about myself, I have gained so much wisdom, understanding and knowledge.
Spiritual warfare can feel sometimes quite literally feel like you’re dying inside.
The enemy may come attacking your mind. For me with this I typically experience headaches.
Mental Spiritual warfare could be unusual negative thoughts most likely obsessively running through your mind.
The enemy does this to steal your peace, or to discourage you by placing lies in your mind about situations or people.
He wants you to react like the world and fight back.
Now, one of the most important bible verses that completely describes warfare for us is.
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
“What does God want us to do”
God wants us to trust him in what he says he will do. You must trust the Lord to fight your battles.
Most importantly once you understand the truth to where spiritual warfare stems off of you must pray for your enemies do not condemn them.
Praying for our enemies leads to freedom, condemning our enemies keeps us in bondage.
Choosing to be a follower of Christ means choosing to be different than the world by declaring the truth.
When the vail is lifted from our eyes the battles simply just reveal their true identify.
“The Narrow Gate” NLT
Matthew 7:13-14
13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.
14 “But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
“Conclusion”
My dearest reader, as declared in Matthew the gateway to life is narrow. The bible has already prepared us to understand that it will not be easy.
Better it is to SEE than to be blind.
Better it is to know what your fighting, than to not know that your being fought.
I am by no means someone that knows all truths, and my journey has just begun.
I pray that my experiences and what I have learned thus far will be helpful to you.
God bless you
Exceedingly & Abundantly
