Blessings beloved, Walking with Christ is such a beautiful experience yet it can so painful at the very same time, In this blog were going to talk about 4 reasons God allows seasons of crushing.
In the beginning of my walk I experienced what I would call a honey moon stage with God.
For the first few months he was gentle (still is) and took care of me like a newborn baby.
“Sigh” those were some good moments.
But at some point like any true father he had to teach me things I never knew off.
He began a process of the renewal of my mind.
An experience so wonderful yet crushing in every way. I can imagine I’m not alone in this.
Let’s jump right in and look into 4 reasons why God allows seasons of crushing.
1. Healing
The first thing God made clear was the healing I was in desperate need off.
And just for a season he numbed the pain the endless worry and thinking.
The memories of trauma, and then just like that he said I was ready.
The very first thing God had me face was the absence of my father.
I have always known it was a soft part in my heart, and that not having a father figure in my life was truly a big reason for my choices in the world.
The truth is that it hurt, and it took time. God had to allow emotions I had hidden away for a while to come to the light.
I had to face the hard truth that I still resented him and although I acted like I was okay there was the little girl in me who ached for the love of a father.
Healing is such a critical experience in your life. The opposite of healing is hurt.
Healing is needed because as long as we carry those hurtful experiences we will always remain in our past.
It becomes a wall that separates us from the new and current in our life, it prevents us from truly living in the peace of God.
Many of us have deep wounds that go back to childhood, and we lock away our memories in the deepest parts of our soul.
But that very deeply hidden pain you carry will affect the way you treat every aspect of your life.
Every relationship we have will be affected, because what we carry reflects in our character.
Wether you’re a woman that grew up without a father so you struggle knowing your worth and value so you let people treat you like less than your truly worth.
Or you’re the man who didn’t have a love of a mother and you struggle knowing what it is to be nurturing to your wife and children.
Healing is imperative to achieve the life that not only we want to have, but the bigger one God has planned.
2. Deliverance
Deliverance is in connection with healing, as though deliverance is a form of healing in it self.
To be delivered means to be set free from spiritual bondage and oppression.
So with healing we understand God allows the crushing so that we can uncover the hidden painful experiences we have faced physically in our life’s.
Now deliverance is what spiritually than becomes connected to that direct experience.
In healing the crushing must go deeper because in the spirit it has created a bondage over your life.
A hold the enemy places over you to stop you from growing.
This bondage than will begin to oppress your life, and you better believe when you begin to grow in Christ; going against the current of the world, those very oppressions will be used to taunt you, with the sole purpose to keep you deeper in bondage and away from God.
In this very case God may allow a higher level of crushing because he knows who he created you to be, he allows it to lift the vail from your eyes so that you can truly see what you’re really fighting.
He allows you to see the real roots connected to the void of a father or a mother.
You see these traumatic experiences can attach spirits to us such as a spirit of rejection, trauma, misery, distraction.. the list goes on!
Deliverance is the portion of Gods children, not only can we be delivered but Jesus gives us the gift of delivering our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Deliverance is true liberty.
3. Knowing your Identity
Your identity is one of the most important things you’ll need to know.
It will determine and define how you grow and which direction you take in your God given purpose.
The first thing you need to know about your identity is that you are a child of God, and that comes with a calling, a purpose and an inheritance.
You see when we walked in the world, everything the enemy did was to take us further away from who we really are.
He knows that the moment we begin to truly understand how much we our loved by God and our authority in this world, literal chains are broken.
Knowing our authority destroys the fears in our lifes.
To know your true identity completely changes your perspective.
It reveals your true gifts, and how strong and capable you are of overcoming that very thing meant to destroy you.
Our identity lies in the hands of God, in knowing who we are, we understand who God is, he reveals the things he has placed inside of us, the special purpose he created us for.
Knowing your identity comes with fully loving who you are inside and out because you know you are beautifully and wonderfully made.
In turn it is a humbling experience, it also shows you how much we need Jesus to overcome daily weaknesses of our flesh.
So you see God allows crushing so that he can reveal to you who you really are.
And while our fleshly thoughts may think we don’t need to be crushed to know who we are.
Quite frankly we do, we live in a sinful flesh that can so easily fall to pride, and self righteousness.
God will crush us to humble us, to truly see the truth of every part of who we are.
And in knowing who you are you can walk in humbleness and authority as a child of God.
4. Growing in Relationship with God
We have saved the best for last, so I hope you made it to the end.
The most important thing in your entire life and walk is your relationship with God.
The truth is God will allow seasons of crushing in our life’s for the sole purpose of growing in our relationship with him.
God is not like the world, he isn’t sinful and he isn’t unjust.
He is loving, gentle and patient. He is nurturing like a parent and a God of justice.
He is a God of mercy and truth. He is far bigger and greater than we can ever understand.
Exactly for that reason, coming from a sinful world. A placed filled with injustice, pain and suffering. It can be hard to understand and believe in who God says he is.
And it is through our hardest battles where we are crushed and redeemed by God that we see who he is.
In those times he teaches us to draw closer to him, he shows us the love he has for us. He is the only one that can have you experience true peace in the middle of a storm.
Growing closer to him leads us closer to understanding who we are because we are made in his image.
Through his crushing and pure love he pulls out the best parts of who we are.
He renews and transforms us, protects and guides us, he is merciful and forgiving, he is righteousness and truth.
Our father is Love, a love like no other. A love so ever present and eternal.
Remember if he allows you to be crushed it’s because he has a purpose for you, he says you are mine and I will not let you go, he will leave the 99 just for you. Trust his plan in your life, allow him to work in you and through you and you never know where he might take you.
May this blog about 4 reasons why God allows seasons of crushing be a blessing to you!
