Blessings my dearest readers, welcome to another blog.
life can be messy and confusing at times right.
It can be so easy to get wrapped up in the things that look bigger than us.
Sometimes is hard to have hope and faith when you’re hurting.
Or sometimes it can be hard to feel happy when we see others have things we wish we had.
Life can feel like a never ending repeated cycle.
That can feel like the joy of life has been sucked dry from our day to day.
And as much as we want to escape those feelings it can feel like we are drowning in them and there is no way out. We feel like nothing will ever change.
Me too
For so many years I felt like life was so empty, life was hard.
I felt like I was stuck in a hamster wheel that just kept turning and turning.
This led me to feel desperate for change.
It led me to periods of depression, unfortunately it even made me suicidal multiple times.
I felt lost with no hope. I just couldn’t see anything Good around me.
It felt like the misery would never end.
When I first began my journey with Christ, I was broken lost and reached complete rock bottom.
I was dealing with deep depression, suicidal thoughts, I was dependent of cigarettes because of anxiety.
I felt hopeless about life.
The emotions inside of me felt bigger than me, it felt like they were swallowing me, drowning me.
Immediately in my walk God helped me control my emotions, which cleared my mind more than it had been in a while.
Our emotions can consume us so much and so deeply that it will steal the joy of life, and leave us at a state of being out of reality.
Feeling more mentally clear began to open my eyes to everything around me.
And it hit me for the first time in a long time. “Wow I am so thankful to be alive today” I thought.
That turned into “I am so thankful to have a home”.
“What a blessing it is to have a car”
As God opened my eyes, “I am so grateful for food, clothes, warms sheets, furniture”.
As my eyes opened and my mind was being renewed I realized that daily we live in miracles.
Everywhere I turned there is a miracle.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Renewing of the Mind
It really can be so easy to be distracted from the beauty of life.
When God begins to renew our minds, we can see how easily were being deceived.
The enemy daily has the intention of stealing our joy.
But listen life is precious, and not one to so simply want to give away.
Every day we wake up is the first miracle we get to experience.
Something as simple as opening your eyes daily is a gift. It means far more than you could ever imagine.
It is a representation of Gods everlasting love for you, each day you wake up he has given you life, not because you deserve it but because your life has a purpose and a plan.
Each day God gives us mercy, because his plan for us is far from over.
Lamentations 3:22-23 22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
You see it is so easy to be consumed by the evils of the world that we become ungrateful for the small things.
Every day you wake up in a home, in a bed with warm sheets, is a miracle.
Because just that alone is something many don’t have.
Being able to walk into a kitchen and have a meal is a wonderful miracle. Not only do many not have that, many go hungry far more than we can ever imagine.
Listen, again I know life is hard and sometimes it really can be hard to remain joyful.
When you feel like that, just look all around you.
While others may have what you wish you had, many others are wishing they had what you had.
Life is precious, it is a gift that we need to start cherishing more daily.
Learn to live life through the lenses of Gods eyes.
Each day he places before you he plans strategically, and where there is disaster, there is a miracle.
So when life gets hard and you feel like your drowning. Look up, wipe your tears.
What miracles do you see?
What do you have that someone else wishes they had?
Wonderfully Made
Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Look up Child, do you see you, can you see how wonderfully crafted you are.
You are a miracle, you are loved beyond what you can comprehend.
Everything you live in is all part of a plan, open your eyes because there is life out there waiting for you.
A lot of times we want everything around us to change. But what needs to change is us.
We can think that if we had a better house, or a different car.
How about better friends, or a partner, more money, a better job, a different body, hair eyes….
The list is endless.
Listen nothing you receive will ever be enough if you are empty internally.
Before anything around you changes physically.
Your mindset and the posture of your heart must change.
We all need to learn to appreciate what we already have.
And when it feels bigger than you start small.
You woke up today.
That means your time here on earth is not over yet.
So one last time my friend, there are a million little miracles all around you. Go find them.
XOXO
